Whisky Caperdonich, 28 y.o., 46%, unchillfiltered, cask butt 389/391, bottler Chieftain's
Nose - fruity, fresh with hint of nuts. Fruity tones brings memory of pears and plums. In deep is barley tone.
Palate - nuts again and some orange. Shows its age in smothness and ralther long finish.
Chieftains has golden hand with this whisky. Its favourite of Aberdeens' whisky tastings. In many cases is this age of whisky source of overload by cask tones (vanilla, wood) in palate. But not in this whisky.
