Mortlach 1989, 16 y.o., single cask, cask 2836, bottle 27 of 773, 46%, unchillfiltered, bottled by Signatory
Nose - Amazing. Typical Mortlach's roasting meat, roasted chestnut with butter tones. Hint of smoke.
Palate - Powerful. Meat, but a lot of fruits and sweetness, some coffee and dark chocolate.
Mortlach is full bodied and robust. In our opinion it is most balanced single malt whisky you can ever drink. Many of our whisky tastings comprises Mortlach - but almost all bottled by independent bottlers, because Mortlach whisky was long, long time sold only to blenders by casks. Now is on the market 14yo Mortlach in distillery bottling. And... is pretty good!
